Fair for most of the Mediterranean but some rain or showers to north


Friday
Another scorching hot day for central & southern Spain and Portugal, topping 40C again. Dry and hot weather continues across much of the Mediterranean, although the spine of Italy sees a risk of local thundery showers. A few showers also possible for the Alps. Sunshine for the Balkans, Greece and areas surrounding the Black Sea. Breezy for the Aegean Islands.
High pressure brings a fair day to France, whilst a weak cold front brings showers to the Low Countries and northern Germany. Dry for the Baltic region and Poland, temperatures around 20C. A few showers for southern Norway and Sweden, drier further north, but the far north of Scandinavia sees some persistent rain and possible thunder. Ahead of the rain, northern Finland and Arctic Russia will be very warm.


Saturday
A fine day for Saturday across Iberia with good spells of sunshine. Fair for much of Italy but some thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. Greece should be fine as well, just a chance of an afternoon thunderstorms in the north. Turkey should be dry with good spells of sunshine.
A fair day to come across France, again with good spells of sunshine here. Some cloud and outbreaks of rain for the Low Countries and Germany. Showers developing in Poland. Thes showers trouble Austria, Hungary and Switzerland as well with more sunshine to come here.
Coud and showers for Denmark. Mostly fair in the Baltic States with sunny spells here. Finland should be fair with some more sunshine to come. Sweden sees some cloud and outbreaks of showery rain. Norway starts fine but some coud and outbreaks of rain here later.
