Rain spreads from west tonight

Good morning,

Low pressure is centred primarily over the Norwegain Sea and Scandinavia today, whilst another developing wave depression moves toward Ireland from the Atlantic - this contains the remnants of Tropical Storm Rina.

A weak cold front sinks south across southern England producing cloudy skies and patchy rain, but amounts generally small. Brighter skies for central and northern Britain. A few bands of showers possible for north-west England and north Wales.

A warm front moves into Ireland from the west, and heavy rain extends over the Irish Sea into Wales and western England by this evening and into tonight.

Feeling chilly in brisk westerly winds, strongest for northern Britain. Gales over Scottish mountains. Snow and hail showers will be frequent toward the north & west of the Highlands.

Today's top temperatures 7 to 9C in the north, 10 to 12C in the south.

Have a great day.
