Dreary south
Bright north
|
Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 8th March 2017
Damp and murky in the south of Ireland, England and Wales but brighter, showery Scotland Much brighter as you head north with some sunny spells across Northern Ireland, northeast England and eastern Scotland. Watch for heavy showers and windy conditions across western Scotland with some snow on the Highlands. Elsewhere it should be mostly dry through the day although highs nearer 7C in northern Scotland. Tonight sees cloud and some drizzle remaining in the far south of England, drier air slowly edging south. However, a band of showers passes through Northern Ireland and into western and northern Scotland, fading as it heads southwards.
