Early showers in western Scotland, then rain sets in here through the afternoon. Turning wetter for north-west England & Wales later in the afternoon. A west to south-westerly breeze, strengthening in the west. Highs 12 to 17C, warmest south-east.

Monday night
Several hours of persistent rain for west Wales and north-west England. Rain extending into the Midlands and eastern England as fronts drift slowly eastwards, although tending to break up. Drizzly rain also developing across the south-west, but southern England staying largely dry. Showers in the west of Scotland. Cloudy skies for most. Some clear spells north-east. Mild in the south, 9 to 12C, cooler north, 4 to 7C, locally colder Scottish glens.

Tuesday
A front lies across central and southern Britain, producing cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain or drizzle, locally persistent for a few hours. Generally wettest toward west Wales and perhaps south-west England. Showery for Northern Ireland and western Scotland, also north-west England. Fewer showers toward the north-east, with a little sunshine. A west to southwesterly breeze, strongest in the north. Highs 10 to 13C north & west, 15 to 17C south-east.

Wednesday
Low pressure centred to the north-west. A showery day with some heavy bursts, particularly for Scotland and Ireland. Local hail and isolated thunder possible. Frequent showers too for north-west England and Wales. Showers breaking out for central regions too. Drier and brighter in the east and south-east, with periods of sunshine. A cool and brisk west to south-westerly breeze, gusty around showers. Temperatures 10 to 16C.
