Morning Call - November 21, 2017
Mild, wet and windy
Low pressure dominates the weather

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 21st November 2017
Duty forecaster: Matthew Hugo

Mild, wet and windy weather for many, but especially across more northern and western regions, drier in the south and south-east

Good morning,

It's a wet start across many northern areas with rain and drizzle, along with some snow on high ground of N Scotland too. Mainly dry though across more central and southern areas of England and Wales, with the exception of some patchy drizzle in places. All areas are starting the day very mild, especially across England and Wales.

Through Tuesday afternoon and unsettled conditions will continue with a risk of rain and showers moving eastwards across many areas, but with the greatest risk of heavy rain likely across parts of Scotland, Ireland and N England where it will also be particularly windy as well. Many areas very mild, especially England and Wales, colder across the far north of Scotland though.

Into Tuesday evening and overnight into Wednesday and unsettled conditions will continue. The risk of heavy rain will increase with some increasingly large rainfall totals developing across parts of Scotland, Ireland and perhaps particularly NW England where some local flooding may well be possible. Drier weather will however be maintained across southern areas of England. All areas very mild still into Tuesday night again though particularly across England and Wales.

Matthew
