Mixed weather continues with showers for all

The mixed weather is set to continue through the coming week as low pressure stays in control. There will be showers for many this weekend, some heavy at times. The early stages of next week may be a little drier although still with some showers. Becoming more mixed into the later stages of the week once more.

Sunday 30/7/17
Low pressure remains to the west of Scotland on Sunday. Troughs surround the low bringing heavy showers through Ireland and western Scotland in the morning. These showers reaching western Wales, western England and western Scotland as the morning progresses whilst eastern areas will be drier and brighter to start the day. Heavier and more widespread showers develop through the morning and into the afternoon, these spreading east. It may be that the far south of England escapes most of the showers, although for many other areas they could be torrential. Highs at 16 to 23C.


Monday 31/7/17
Low pressure stays to the west and north of the UK and Ireland with a mix of sunshine and showers for many. Across England and Wales the showers are likely to be mostly scattered, but they could be heavier in Scotland and Ireland as well as western Wales. Tops at 17 to 24C in a moderate southwest breeze.
 


Tuesday 1/8/17
Low pressure stays to the west on Tuesday. This brings showers to Ireland and Scotland with a few on other western coasts. Generally though other places are expected to be dry with sunny spells, the best in the east. Tops near 17 to 23C.

 
 
 


Wednesday 2/8/17
Hints of a better day on Wednesday as a weak ridge of high pressure builds. This could leave many eastern areas dry with sunny spells, although low pressure may push rain back into Ireland. Tops of 18 to 26C.


Thursday 3/8/17
Indications are that low pressure is likely to be to the west of the UK through Thursday. This brings rain into more western parts of the country as well as Ireland. Eastern areas could be drier with some sunny spells here. Highs at 18 to 26C.

Friday 4/8/17
Th area of low pressure is to the north of the UK on Friday. This brings a return to westerly winds and a mix of sunshine and showers. Most of the showers in the west where they could be heavy at times. Highs at 15 to 22C.
