Patchy rain
Some heavy showers

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 10th July 2017
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Sunny spells

Good morning,

A slack pressure pattern exists across the British Isles today, generally low toward the east, whilst high pressure lies to the south-west, centred around the Azores.

A couple of weak frontal zones drift south-eastwards across Britain, bringing largely cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain. Areas of slow-moving showers passing east through the day across central & eastern England. Some local prolonged heavy falls for East Anglia & the south-east. Some sunshine breaking through at times.

A shallow low and associated fronts move from the Atlantic toward southern Ireland and south-western Britain later in the day, bringing rain here into the evening and night.

Winds generally light, although breezy on the south coast. Temperatures between 16 and 22C, perhaps 25C in brighter spells in the south.

Have a great day.
