Low pressure continues to dominate to bring further wet weather, wintry precipitation risk in the north too
Good morning,
It's an unsettled start to Saturday across England and Wales with overnight rain and showers still present even with some sleet or wet snow over modest high ground of N England too. Through the rest of the morning and it will remain mostly cloudy, damp and overcast and feeling cold in a moderate or fresh NE'ly breeze. Conditions better across Scotland and Ireland, a few showers but generally drier and brighter, if not with some sunny spells.
Into Saturday evening and overnight and some further patchy rain or showers may continue to feed into some central and eastern areas of England, perhaps still with some sleet or wet snow over the Pennines and Peak District, for example and, overall and rather cloudy night is expected but with some cloud breaks across western areas of England and Wales allowing for some frost to develop here. A frosty night for Scotland and Ireland beneath clear skies with quite a significant frost here forecast to develop.
