Cool and breezy with bands of showers moving south

Good morning,

We're looking at another cool and showery day today, so one definitely for the brollies to be taken outside as well as that autumn jacket! The showers tending to move through in bands this morning, perhaps merging into longer spells of rain at times. Particularly prone to the early showers will be Wales, the Midlands and eastern England. These showers moving southeast eastwards before clearing away.

Elsewhere showers are more isolated and there will be lengthier spells of sunshine. Northern and eastern Scotland will always be prone to some heavy showers and more prolonged spells of rain. A stiff northerly breezy making it feel chilly for all of us.

More isolated showers tonight, but again moving southwards in bands. Clearer skies for other places and feeling cold again.
