Morning Call - September 05, 2017
Showery rain spreads east
Drier & brighter west

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 5th September 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

A band of rain passes east and weakens, turning brighter and drier from the west

Good morning,

Cloudy to start this morning over most of the UK and Ireland. A front is passing east and this is bringing some heavy bursts of rain over northern England and parts of Wales. This area of rain passes east during the morning, clearing eastern coasts this afternoon.

Showers to the west will also be spreading eastwards, mainly affecting northern England and parts of the Midlands. There could be some bits of rain across southern England and these could last into the afternoon.

Western areas tending to become brighter through the day with the best sunshine in western Scotland and Ireland this afternoon.
