Snow spreads east
Cold for all

Snow becoming slow moving as it heads east, cold for all

Good morning,

Snow boots at the ready! Well, at least through southern Scotland, northern England, Wales and southwest England this morning. Most of the snow will be light but there could be some more moderate and persistent snow over the Pennines and hills of Wales. As the front edges eastwards through the morning and into this afternoon the snow should ease and become light.

East Anglia and southeast England will be dry overall with only a passing snow flurry. Feeling bitterly cold here though. To the north and west of the snow band Scotland and Ireland as well as northwest England should be drier overal with a fair amount of cloud, although snow showers drifting into western Scotland and western Ireland.

Light snow this evening in the eastern Midlands, drifting to East Anglia and the southeast overnight. Some showers showers affecting western coasts and hills, but generally it will be a cold and dry night with a widespread frost and icy roads and pavements.
