Chilly in the wind northern areas

Good morning,

High pressure extends across central & south-western Britain & Ireland, bringing fair weather and light winds to most areas.

The remains of a front may produce fairly cloudy skies in the far south, perhaps localised rain around the English Channel. A few brief showers may come in from the Irish Sea to north-west England & Wales, but these very well scattered.

Low pressure over the Norwegian Sea drives a brisk westerly flow across northern Britain. A cold front brings frequent showers to western Scotland, with a risk of hail, and snow over the mountains.

Today's top temperatures reaching 7 to 9C after a chilly start, but will feel colder in the wind in northern areas.

Have a great day.
Garry
