Morning Call - July 22, 2017
Unsettled weekend
Heavy showers

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 22nd July 2017
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Some longer periods of rain

Good morning,

A broad area of low pressure encircles the British Isles, centred toward the south-west. An occluded front pivots north-eastwards across northern regions, whilst a trough of showers affects the south.

Persistent rain for northern England drifts slowly into southern Scotland. Rain also toward the south-west of Britain will advance north-eastwards, and areas of slow moving downpours will break out for much of England & Wales into the afternoon.

Gusty south-westerlies for English Channel coasts, and easterlies for Scotland, but fairly light winds for central areas.

Today's top temperatures will be 17 to 22C, but cooler where rain persists.

Have a great day.
Garry
