A mixed month, driest in the south at first but rain here later as the north improves

June looks set to become unsettled with periods of rain and strong winds.
However, this more mixed weather is likely to be short lived with the mid-month period being drier and warmer.
The final third of the month is expected to become warm or very warm and thundery too.

*8/7/17 - 14/7/17*
A mixed week with a mostly westerly wind dominating the weather pattern.
There will be some rain around, mostly affecting northern and western Scotland as weak fronts move east.
More southern areas should be drier overal with sunny spells.
Becoming more unsettled after mid week with stronger winds and showers, although settling by the weekend.

15/7/17 - 21/7/17*
The flow continues to be dominated by a westerly flow through this week.
A ridge of high pressure over Ireland ans southern England and Wales. This brings drier than average conditions here, although there could be an odd spot of rain from time to time.
Scotland is likely to be breezier with most rain to the north and west, this rain afecting northern and western Ireland too.

*22/7/17 -28/7/17*
We stay with the theme of a mainly westerly wind. A risk of some rain in northern and western Scotland as well as western Ireland. More eastern and southern parts should be drier with some sunny spells, although showers can't be ruled out.

*29/7/17 - 4/8/17*
Pressure may build west of Ireland and Scotland this week, This brings drier weather here. More southern parts of England and Wales could see lower pressure developing with the risk of some showers or rain. Confidence is low.

*5/8/17 to 11/8/17*
The area of higher pressure drifts north of Scotland. Mostly fair here with sunny spells. The dry weather extends into northern England and Ireland.
More southern areas will have a risk of showers or rain.
