Morning Call - April 18, 2018
Warmer & brighter
Best sun England & Wales

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 18th April 2018
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Western rain turning lighter and more patchy through today, showers in Ireland and Scotland, best in the southeast

Good morning,

Rather a lot of cloud in northern and western areas to start this morning. There will be some areas of light rain and drizzle in northern and western Ireland as well as the far northwest of England and southwest Scotland. Drier to the east and south with good spells of warm sunshine developing in southern and eastern England.

This afternoon sees drizzle in central and western Scotland with low cloud on the coasts and rather murky here too. Some low cloud and mist around the southern and eastern coasts of Ireland, but fair periods in the rest of the island of Ireland, although some drizzle in the northwest.

The best of the weather is reserved for England, Wales and increasingly in southern Scotland where the sun will come through. Feeling warm in the sunshine too with temperatures into the low to mid 20s for some.
