Saturday
A dry but cool pattern. High pressure is centred over Scandinavia. Dry for all and a lot of sunshine. Eastern Scotland probably cloudier. Very chilly where exposed to a brisk south-easterly wind, which will be strongest around coasts in the south & east. Temperatures reaching 4 or 5C, perhaps up to 7C in the far south-west. Feeling closer to freezing due to wind chill.

 


Saturday night
Staying dry for all, with variable cloud and some clear skies, generally least cloud in western regions. A brisk east to south-easterly wind continues. Temperatures widely close to or below freezing, producing widespread frost. Where sheltered from the wind, in rural areas temperatures may fall toward -5C, likely coldest in the western Midlands and into Wales.
 


Sunday
A cold east to southeasterly wind continues. Dry overall, with plenty of sunshine. Cloudier in eastern Scotland & north-east England. Snow flurries may develop on eastern coasts of England into the afternoon or evening. Widespread frost, with only slow thawing during the day. Highs 1 to 4C, coldest in eastern counties, and feeling sub-zero where exposed to the wind.
 


Monday
Bitter easterly winds. Snow flurries for eastern regions, spreading inland, perhaps reaching the Midlands. Bands of snow showers may also affect Kent and Sussex. Snow may well become increasingly persistent in some areas. Generally cloudy. Some sun toward western coasts. Temperatures near 0C for most, feeling well below freezing in the wind. Up to 3C in the south-west.
