Heavy showers Saturday
Further rain Sunday

Saturday
Low pressure centred across the North Sea produces a cool north-westerly wind, with squally gusts. Showers frequent in the north & west in the morning, but will extend inland, and break out increasingly widely for the Midlands, south & east into the afternoon. Heavy bursts, with local hail and thunder possible. Showers tending to fade for Scotland & Northern Ireland later. Brief sunny spells. Highs 14 to 18C, but cooler in rain.

Saturday night
A few residual showers, but most will fade overnight as pressure briefly builds. However, another area of low pressure approaches from the north-west. A warm front moves into Ireland and western Scotland, where thickening cloud will produce outbreaks of rain and drizzle before dawn. Elsewhere, it should be a dry night with clear spells. The wind tending to ease. Lowest temperatures 7 to 11C, locally 5C in some Scottish glens.

Sunday
A rapidly developing area of low pressure to the north-west of Britain pushes fronts from west to east during the day. A bright start in the south & east, but any sunshine soon turning hazy and cloud thickens. Persistent rain in the west & north-west, heaviest over the hills. Patchy rain and drizzle extends across central & southern areas in the afternoon. Strengthening south-westerly winds, later gale force in the west. Highs 13 to 18C.

Monday
A windy day for all. A deep area of low pressure centred toward the north-east. A cool north-westerly flow brings pulses of heavy showery rain, merging into some longer periods of rain at times in the north & west. Most places will see showers through the day, although there will be bright or sunny spells at times. Blustery winds, locally gusting gale force around exposed coasts and hills. Temperatures just 12 to 17C, warmest south-east.
