Friday
Slack low pressure for central Britain and fronts pivot across northern areas. Generally damp for Scotland and northern England, with outbreaks of rain, locally persistent, fading slowly. Tending to improve across Wales and the Midlands, with early low cloud and patchy rain breaking up. A little sunshine breaking through in the south. Light winds for most. An easterly breeze in the north. Highs 10 to 15C, warmest south, but just 6C in eastern Scotland.


Friday night
Quiet conditions overall. Generally dry, but a lot of low cloud and murk, especially in the north. Perhaps damp and drizzly over hills in the Pennines and southern Scotland. Less low cloud in central and southern Britain, but a risk of local areas of fog forming. Very little wind. Lowest temperatures around 4 to 7C.
 


Saturday
A pleasant day for many places. Early morning low cloud or fog will break up and clear, resulting in good spells of sunshine developing, although still quite hazy. Local showers breaking out by afternoon across Wales, the south-west and central England, some heavy bursts very locally by evening. Chance of isolated showers Scotland and northern England, but most places staying dry. Light southerly winds. Fairly mild, highs 12 to 17C.


Sunday
A front moves in from the west, bringing outbreaks of rain to Ireland and also western fringes of Britain, most persistent toward the south-west, with patchy rain advancing north-eastwards. Brisk southerly winds around western coasts. Light winds toward the south-east. Central & eastern Britain dry most of the day with a good amount of sunshine, but clouding over. Highs 12 to 15C north & west. South-eastern areas up to 17 to 19C.
