Scattered showers affecting East Anglia and southeast England at first this morning as a very weak front clears east. Sone drizzle in northwest Scotland too. Elsewhere a fair amount of cloud, but mostly dry. The cloud breaking to allow some sunny spells to developing, and apart from an isolated shower this afternoon it will be a dry day. More persistent rain arrives in western ireland and western Scotland later on as the winds pick up here too. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, 22C in any sunshine in southern Ireland and southern England.

Friday Night
A damp, murky and cloudy night to come across much of Scotland and Ireland, especially the west and north. Drizzle and low cloud spreading to northern England and the west and north of Wales too.Staying drier for much of the night across the Midlands, eastern and southern England although by the morning there could be some drizzle or patchy rain reaching the Midlands. Lows at 11 to 15C.

Saturday
A shallow area of low pressure with associated front to the northwest of Scotland on Saturday. This brings plenty of cloud and periods of rain to Northern Ireland and much of Scotland. Cloud and drizzle in northern England, especially this morning. Damp and drizzly for northern and western Wales in the morning, tending to become drier this afternoon. Eastern Ireland and much of the rest of England will be dry with broken cloud and sunny spells developing. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, 24C in southern Ireland and as high as 26C in any sunshine in southeast England.

Sunday
A weak cold front passing east through the UK on Sunday. This brings a band of cloud and some patchy rain in northern England and Wales as first. Dry for most of the rest of England and Wales with cloud breaking and some bright or sunny spells, the best in the southeast. Showers follow into northern and western parts of Scotland, but drier and brighter east and south. Highs at 25C in southeast England, 16C in northern Scotland and much of Ireland.
