Monday
A chilly start to the day. Expect a good deal of cloud across the country with some brief breaks allowing occasional sunny spells. Most places will have a dry morning apart from showers across western and northern parts of Wales, around the eastern coasts of East Anglia and north east Scotland. In the afternoon the showers are expected across Wales, East Anglia, southern England and around the North Sea coasts of eastern Scotland. Dry across the rest of Britain. Expect maximum temperatures of 13 to 16 Celsius across Scotland, Wales, and northern England, 15 to 18 Celsius across the south.


Monday Night
Occasional showers are expected across parts of The Midlands, southern England and eastern parts of Scotland. Dry across the remainder of Britain with cloud tending to break to clear spells. Overnight any residual showers will soon dissipate with all parts of Britain turning dry with clear skies. With light winds and clear spells, some ground fog is likely to form in low lying areas. Quite cold tonight with minimum temperatures of 5 to 10 Celsius but 3 to 5 Celsius in rural locations.


Tuesday
High pressure should give all parts of Britain a fine, dry day with lots of sunshine after morning fog patches disperse. Across Northern Ireland and the Western Isles cloud will thicken up this afternoon in advance of an approaching front. A fine, dry evening to come in the east with clear skies. Cloudy across the west with rain into western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Overnight it becomes windier with rain for Northern Ireland, Scotland, northern Scotland and North Wales. Central and southern England stays dry. Expect highs of 14 to 17 Celsius.


Wednesday
Very windy today, more so across the north and the west with gusts to 40 mph around western coasts and gusts to 50 mph across the Western Isles. A cloudy day across Britain with outbreaks of mainly light and drizzle across Scotland, northern England, Northern Ireland and western Wales. In the afternoon the rain turns more persistent and a bit heavier. A dry day across central and southern parts of England. Overnight a heavier pulse of rain spills in across south west England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Irish Sea coasts of northern England and Scotland. Dry across central and eastern England. Expect highs of 15 to 18 Celsius.
