UK Forecast - April 18, 2018
Sunny & very warm
Cloudier west

Thursday
A fine day is on the cards for many today with plenty of warm sunshine around. There may be some morning mist and fog patches in more sheltered areas but these clear quickly. More cloud from a weakening front extending from Scotland and through Ireland. A few spots of drizzle in northwest Scotland but otherwise it will be dry. This afternoon sees that cloud breaking with some bright spells developing, although these may trigger an odd shower in Ireland. There could also be an isolated shower in the English Midlands due to the warmth generated in the afternoon. Temperatures reaching 28C in southeast England, 18C in the cloudier parts of Ireland and Scotland.

Thursday Night
A dry night ahead for most of the UK and Ireland. There will be clear skies for many and it will be mild too. Low cloud, mist and some fog patches may affect western and southern coasts and hills. Patchy drizzle affecting northwestern hills of Scotland. Lows at 9 to 14C.

Friday
A ridge of high pressure affects the UK and Ireland on Friday. This is going to be bringing plenty of dry weather with good spells of warm sunshine for many. There will be cloud over Ireland, but this breaks with sunny spells developing here, best in the afternoon. Low cloud may drift onto western coasts and hills of England, Wales and Scotland with mist and fog patches too. A low risk of an isolated shower triggered by the warmth in the eastern Midlands in the late afternoon as temperatures get to 28C in the southeast, 17 to 19C in northern and western areas

Saturday
High pressure to the east of England on Saturday. Early mist and fog patches clearing to leave sunny spells. A few coastal mist and fog patches and dry for most. Isolated showers affecting northern England and Scotland later in the day. Highs at 18 to 24C for most.
