Friday
Low pressure is to the west of Scotland on Friday. This brings frequent showers or longer spells of rain to western Scotland, with showers across Ireland and northwest England. Brighter elsewhere with sunny spells although a few showers could occur just about anywhere. During the afternoon a shallow area of low pressure passes into southern Ireland bringing further rain here, this spreading to Wales, southern and central England later. However, there is much uncertainty in the timing of this rain. A breezy day with highs at 16 to 23C.

Saturday
