Changeable Weather Dominates
Often Mild For Most

Low pressure will continue to dominate in the coming days, especially across England and Wales, drier in the north. Often mild but with regional variations expected.

Monday 09/4/18
At the moment sunshine and showers will dominate into Monday of next week, but with many areas having some drier and brighter, if not sunnier conditions through the day. It does seem likely though that another new area of low pressure will approach, from the west, off the N Atlantic and this may well introduce increasingly wet and windy conditions across more western areas through the second half of the day and into the overnight period. Temperatures near to average, highs 8C to 14C.

Tuesday 10/4/18
Low pressure is still set to be the dominant feature moving across England and Wales, at the moment, through the day and this will maintain a risk of rain or showers quite widely and perhaps with some locally heavy precipitation possible across England and Wales, at least for a time, during the day. Scotland may well see the driest weather with sunny spells. Potentially remaining rather windy as low pressure continues to dominate, windiest weather across southern areas. Temperatures near to average, highs 8C to 14C, but cooler along eastern coastal areas given a developing E'ly breeze, temperatures around 6C to 9C here.

Wednesday 11/04/18
Low pressure at the moment is forecast to decline down into France but this does mean it may well remain influential across more central, southern and eastern areas of England maintaining a risk of some showery weather here. High pressure is forecast to build to the north or north-east of the British Isles and this could well mean more northern areas experience a drier day with some sunny spells. Winds potentially becoming moderate or fresh E'ly, so perhaps cooler and especially so for those regions near to the N Sea. Highs 8C to 13C, but perhaps just 4C to 8C for eastern counties of England and Scotland.

Thursday 12/04/18
High pressure is set to dominate to the north or north-east of the British Isles as low pressure persists just to the south so something of a north and south split in the weather is still expected to develop later next week with more northern areas generally drier and brighter, but with England and Wales still maintaining a risk of some rain or showers, especially across more southern areas. E or NE'ly winds are likely to continue so temperatures average at best and always cooler near to the N Sea. Highs 7C to 13C, just 4C or 5C in eastern areas.

Friday 13/04/18
At the moment next Friday may well maintain a risk of showery conditions across central and southern areas of England and Wales, but with many other areas becoming predominantly dry with some bright or sunny spells, especially across Scotland and Ireland, perhaps N England too. Winds still look set to be E or NE'ly, especially across England and Wales with perhaps some marked regional variation in temperatures, mildest across western areas, still rather cool or chilly near to the east coast. Highs 7C to 14C.

Saturday 14/04/18
For now it does look as though quite a lot of dry weather will be maintained into next weekend apart from the risk of a few showers across more southern and eastern areas of England. Driest weather still across more northern areas where sunny spells are possible. Low risk that more unsettled weather will arrive from the west later in the day. Temperatures still near to average so pleasant enough, but with still a likely marked regional variation with it being cooler, if not colder near eastern areas. Highs 8C to 14C, just 5C to 7C near eastern coastal districts.
