Week ahead - November 15, 2017
Chilly weekend
Milder by mid-week

Issued: 0900 Wednesday 15th November 2017
Duty forecaster: Dr. Simon Keeling

A battle between milder and colder air

A battle takes place between mild air to the west and cold air to the north and east over the coming days. Things turning colder into the weekend, but then milder air tries to move into western areas early in the new week. This increases cloud and gives widespread mist and murk to many western areas. The colder air holds out in the east for a time but the milder air probably wins through for all by the middle of the week.
