Saturday 15/07/17 High pressure lies to the south of Britain. A slow-moving front brings rain to the north & north-west of Britain & Ireland, most persistent in western Scotland, heavy at times. Drizzly rain possible too for west Wales. Central & southern Britain should escape dry. Best sunshine in the south & east. A brisk south-westerly wind, strongest north. Highs 15 to 18C north & west, a humid 23 to 26C south & east.
Sunday 16/07/17 A front is likely to slip slowly southwards but will weaken. Patchy rain or drizzle for north-western areas, tending to fade. A few showers may follow into north-west Scotland. Rather cloudy, but much of England & Wales should stay dry. Some sunshine in the east & south-east. Dull in the west, possible coastal fog south-west. Highs 15 to 19C north, but 22 to 25C, perhaps 27C in the south, and feeling humid.
Monday 17/07/17 Patchy drizzly rain may affect the south at first as a weakening front clears. Pressure then builds from the west. A dry day for many with sunny spells. A few showers for north-west Scotland. A north-westerly breeze, feeling fresh. Highs 15 to 18C north, 20 to 22C central areas, possibly up to 23 to 25C south.
Tuesday 18/07/17 High pressure extends across the country. Dry overall with plenty of sunshine. Light winds and coastal sea breezes. Highs 19 to 26C, warmest south.
Wednesday 19/07/17 A settled spell is likely to continue. Good amounts of sunshine and feeling warm, perhaps hot and humid in the south. Highs 22 to 28C.
Thursday 20/07/17 Generally dry weather should continue. A chance of thunderstorms developing in the far south, but confidence is low. Risk patchy rain far north. Highs 22 to 28C.
