Unsettled with rain and showers, becoming cooler

An unsettled week ahead with low pressure bringing strong winds, rain and showers. The weekend is likely to be staying damp with more showers or rain and it will be turning cooler through Friday and into the weekend too. Indications are that it remains unsettled next week and cool too with rain or showers for all.

Friday 8/9/17
The area of low pressure slips into Scotland on Friday. It is going to be a windy day with fronts brings heavy periods of rain in England, Wales and Ireland, most in the north. Southern areas will be windy with a risk of gales and outbreaks of rain. Showerier weather follows into Scotland and Northern Ireland as wel as northern England. The showers will be heavy at times with a risk of thunder. Cool for most at 12 to 16C, but to 20C in the south.

Saturday 9/9/17
Low pressure remains to the east of the UK on Saturday. This brings sunshine and showers, some heavy with hail and thunder. There will be sunny spells between the showers, the best of them in these to the south. A windy day. Highs at 13 to 19C.

 
 
 

Sunday 10/9/17
Low pressure remains in control on Sunday, this to the north of Scotland. There will be breezy conditions for all with cloud and rain in Ireland and Scotland as wel as western England and Wales. More eastern and southern areas will be drier with sunny spells, although rain here later. Highs at 12 to 19C.
 

Monday 11/9/17
Low pressure to the west and east of Scotland on Monday. This brings another cool and showery day. The showers will be heavy at times in the north and west. Brighter in the east and south. Highs at 12 to 18C.

Tuesday 12/9/17
Low pressure to the north and east on Tuesday. It will be a day of sunny spells and showers, most of them to the north and east. Drier in the west and south. Highs at 12 to 18C.

Wednesday 13/9/17
Low pressure to the north on Wednesday. This brings winds, cloud and rain to many northern areas of the country. Drier to the south with sunshine and scattered showers. Breezy for all. Highs at 12 to 18C.
